T-shirt Request Form
USM will celebrate “National First Gen Day” on Wednesday, November 8, 2023.
All faculty and staff who identify as first generation college students that haven't already received a t-shirt should fill out the form below for a free t-shirt (subject to availability of current stock on hand) to wear as part of the celebration and group photos. T-shirts will be the same design used for the celebration last year, and we hope all who participated in our first celebration will wear your shirt to celebrate with us again this year!
Faculty, staff and graduate students who identify as first-gen and are new to the university or missed our celebration last year, please fill out the information below to request your shirt. T-shirt sizes are subject to availability of current stock and are on a first come, first served basis. First Gen shirts will be available for pickup in the Center for Faculty Development, International Center 319, and we will send t-shirts down to our Coastal Operations colleagues via campus mail.
This year's celebration will be commemorated with an in-person photo on Wednesday, November 8, time TBA, on the steps in the South End Zone of M.M. Robert Stadium on the Hattiesburg Campus, and in front of the Lofty Returns statue on the north side of Hardy Hall on the Gulf Park Campus. All first generation faculty, staff and graduate students at Southern Miss are encouraged to wear your t-shirts and join us for the photo!
